The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary ‘beneath the skin’ hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. How Does Profhilo® Work?
Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin.
As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.
The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore we cannot say that Profhilo® is a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.
2 sessions are recommended 4-6 weeks apart for maximum results.
FAQs
Who is this for? As we age our skin lacks collagen and elastic which is the foundation so therefore we have that “sagging” effect, the complexion can look dull and therefore we can recommend from 30 years of age is a suitable time to start.
Where can Profhilo be used? Predominately administered into each side of the face at 5 keys points but can also be used to achieve tighter, more hydrated skin around the neck, chest, decolletage and hands.
Does it hurt? An initial scratch and slight sting which is temporary.
Any side effects? There may be a slight bump where we have injected and tenderness, possible bruising for a few hours, however, after 24 hours they will disappear. Applying slight pressure (not massaging) and/or a cold compress with help too.
Do I need to do anything before/after the treatment? Please avoid alcohol, aspirin or any anti-inflammatory medication 24 hours prior to the treatment. Any other anti-wrinkle treatment 2 weeks prior. Immediately afterwards avoid any make up, strenuous exercise or the use of saunas, steam rooms and sunbeds for 24 hours.
When will I see results? It has been reported most clients can see a difference within 12 hours of having the treatment. However, some people notice a difference within 10 days. The beauty of the stabilised hyaluronic acid continues to work for the following weeks. 2 sessions are recommended 4 weeks apart to fully maximise results. Remember your expectations and give it time.
